In 2004 Candy started Girl Power, a support group for women who have had major weight-loss surgery. Candy facilitates Girl Power with instant messaging sessions and frequent activities such as dancing and horseback riding, gatherings that help the members embrace their new bodies, sustain their motivation, and live life to its fullest.
